The Congress party unveiled its manifesto for Jammu and Kashmir on Monday evening, pledging to restore the region’s statehood. However, the manifesto does not address the issue of Article 370.

Key promises include financial support of Rs 4,000 annually to landless farmers and an unemployment allowance of Rs 3,500 per month for one year to unemployed youth. Additionally, the party vows to increase the current 5 kg ration provided to poor families to 11 kg.

Within 30 days of coming to power, the Congress has committed to creating a job calendar to fill 100,000 vacant government positions. Moreover, under the Mahila Samman Yojana, Rs 3,000 per month will be provided to the female head of economically weaker households.
