Sunrisers Hyderabad lost their fourth match in a row in IPL 2025. They were beaten by Gujarat Titans by 7 wickets at their home ground, the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.
Gujarat chased down the target of 153 runs easily. They scored 153 for 3 in just 16.4 overs. Captain Shubman Gill played a solid innings and remained not out on 61 runs. Sherfane Rutherford also stayed unbeaten, scoring 35 runs.
Earlier, Gujarat won the toss and decided to bowl first. Hyderabad scored 152 runs for 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Washington Sundar was the top scorer with 49 runs. Nitish Kumar Reddy (31 runs) and Heinrich Klaasen (27 runs) were the only pair to build a partnership of over 50 runs.
Mohammed Shami took 2 wickets for Gujarat, and captain Pat Cummins picked 1. For Hyderabad, Mohammed Siraj bowled well and took 4 wickets, while Prasidh Krishna and Sai Kishore took 2 wickets each.
Gujarat has now won three matches in a row.
