Kangana said art and artist are being harassed. She tweeted as she respect for all religions in my heart, I also respect Sikhism. Lies are being told to tarnish my image. In her tweet, she said, “This is completely disturbing for art and artist. Reports are coming from many cities of Punjab that these people are not allowing the film Emergency to be shown in theaters. I have a lot of respect for all religions. After studying and growing up in Chandigarh, I have closely observed and followed the Sikh religion.”
A day after the SGPC chief Harjinder Singh Dhami demanded Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann ban Emergency film as it “defamed the Sikh community”, cinema theatre owners steered clear of screening the film in the state on Friday.
The Sikh activists had barged into cinema halls in many places and demanded managers stop advance booking of the movie. Police were deployed outside Cinemas in Punjab.
